Your love, O Lord, forever will I sing; from age to age my mouth will proclaim your faithfulness...  (Psalm 89:1)
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the rest of the McClellan family (Kristi, Joshua, John, and Max), I want to thank all of you for your generous gift to us at our recent District Christmas party.  It was a humbling experience to share that time with you as your District Superintendent, and I could not be more honored by the offering of support and encouragement that you have bestowed upon me in the last several months.
I would also like to express my appreciation to the Rev. Jay Cooper and the good people of First UMC Bay Minette for their hospitality in hosting our luncheon.  Of particular delight for me was the fellowship shared by so many of our retired clergy and spouses.  I believe that a good time was had by all!
As our lives focus their attention to the coming of the Christ child, I would remind you that the District Office will be closed  December 19-January 1.  Should you have need of me during that time, feel free to email me directly at
I will be across the district this week in an attempt to get a jump start on our consultation process with all district clergy under appointment.  Today I will at Jubilee Shores, tomorrow in Andalusia, and Thursday at Providence UMC in Spanish Fort.  I do treasure these times of conversation with these leaders and friends.
As this will likely be my last correspondence of this kind before the coming of the new year, allow me to extend my warmest wishes for a blessed Christmas season.
Let every heart prepare him room...
Come, Lord Jesus!
