Dear Friends,

I know many are out on Spring Break this week, either traveling with family or perhaps even out on a mission trip. There is a team from the Baypines District that is serving up in Red Bird this week, and I give thanks for their continued witness and traveling mercies.  My wife, Kristi, and son, John, are among them and it has been encouraging to receive updates of all that is happening there.

Here at home, we are getting ready for our district visit from Bishop David and Nancy Graves.  Since there have been some inquiries made about the Town Hall meeting in particular, let me express once more that the gathering on Sunday afternoon is open to all, with the purpose of engaging as many within the district as possible.  I will be fielding questions from participants and facilitating a congenial Q and A with Bishop Graves.  The event is expected to conclude no later than 5:15 p.m.

Here is the full schedule for the week:

Saturday, April 1st:
1:00-5:00 p.m. Blue Lake’s 65th Birthday Celebration.

Sunday, April 2nd:
Morning Worship: Bishop Graves is preaching at FUMC Andalusia.

4:00 p.m. - Town Hall Meeting with Bishop Graves at First UMC Atmore to meet with Clergy/Laity of the District.

Monday, April 3rd:
10:00 a.m. – Clergy Meeting at Daphne UMC
6:00 p.m. - Clergy Meeting at First UMC Brewton (Clergy are expected to attend either meeting)

Tuesday, April 4th:
9:30 a.m. – Coffee Fellowship with Bishop Graves at Fairhope UMC.  Afterward, Bishop Graves and I will be visiting throughout the Baypines District.

It should be a great week!  I hope to see you all.

Grace to you,
