  • The Alabama-West Florida Conference will hold seven pre-annual conference briefings for clergy and lay members to annual conference.  The Baypines District meeting will be Sunday, May 19, 2019, at First UMC Bay Minette. These meetings will be under the direction of Rev. Ashley Davis, AWF Director of Connectional Ministries and Conference Secretary. Click here for more information.

  • Gulf Shores UMC will be hosting a free ladies event on March 23rd beginning at 9:00 am. Rev. Jody Kranz and Rev. Janie MacBeth (GSUMC) and Janie Glover (Allen Chapel AME) will be discussing ways to add more Love, Joy and Peace to our lives.  The event will include a full day of fellowship, a catered lunch, entertainment, and a fashion show Please call the office at 251-968-2411 to register you or your group.  Women of all ages community-wide are invited to join us on this journey.

  • Applications are now being accepted for United Methodist Connectional FCU 2019 ScholarshipsClick here for more information. Four winning applicants, one from each of our four conferences (Florida, North Georgia, South Georgia, and Alabama-West Florida) will receive a $1,000 scholarship. April 30th is the deadline for Application Submission.   • Game Changing Generosity is a FREE event on Thursday, March 21 from 1-2 p.m. (CST). This webinar is for District Superintendents, Pastors, Executive Pastors, Associate Pastors, and Financial Administrators who are looking to increase giving and foster a generous culture in their church. Learn simple strategies you can start using RIGHT NOW to foster a generous culture in your church. Chris Stovall and Alan Wildes of Generis Group will share practical tools and resources that can impact giving.   • The North Alabama Conference and the Alabama-West Florida Conference are jointly sponsoring the 2nd Alabama Methodist Lawyers’ Forum on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery. Anyone who wishes to register may do so by contacting Suzanne Krejcar, the Treasurer and Director of Administration for the Alabama West Florida Conference, at suzanne@awfumc.org.   • The Inspirit Retreat will be held Thursday, April 4 - Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Blue Lake. Inspirit is a ministry event designed for adults 50. Come join us and enjoy a time of renewal and refreshment with great speakers, music, and fun, in the beautiful setting of Blue Lake!  This year's theme will be "New Frontiers." Click here for more information.

  • There will be a UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers In Mission) team leader training on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Greenville First UMC. Participants will receive a wealth of information on preparing a UMVIM team for service, including such topics as effective project selection, spiritual development, cultural sensitivity for teams, logistics, and finance. Included in the $35 registration fee are the UMVIM Team Leader Handbook, snacks, and lunch. This training is open to all Alabama-West Florida United Methodists, and it satisfies training requirements for leading a UMVIM team.   • AWFL United Methodist Men's 2019 Spring Advance will be held at Blue Lake Methodist Camp on Friday, April 26 - Saturday, April 27. Please note the reduced fees for men under the age of 40 sharing a room. Also, be reminded that room availability is on a first come basis. Click here for the registration form.  Registration is due by Monday, April 15. We look forward to an outstanding program entitled “Men’s Ministry is a Challenge.” Our Friday night keynote speaker is Bishop L. Annual Conference 2019

Annual Conference 2019 will be held June 2-5 at Frazer Memorial UMC in Montgomery. Our theme is, “This We Proclaim” based on 1 John 1:1. 

The annual conference planning team, directed by Bishop David Graves, is pleased to announce that this year's missional giving recipient for the 2019 Annual Conference special offering is Teaming with Tanzania. Many of you collect special offerings during your worship services leading up to conference.
